P01 (Process) - Detailed Rubric

General grade scale

A: Exceeding expectations

B: Meeting expectations

C: Not-quite meeting expectations

D/F: Not meeting/failing expectations

Process (1 points)

1pt: Deliverables meet the expected amount of process exploration outlined in the brief.

0.5pts: Some of the required weekly deliverables are missing.

0pts: Little to no demonstrated weekly deliverables.

Design (9 points)

Grading Focus: Quality of visual design, adaptiveness, and clarity of visual narrative.

A: The designed interface provides an exceptional visual design — legible, clear hierarchy, effective use of space/composition, and consistent elements — that demonstrates excellent consistency in the visual language across different display resolutions and forms a clear narrative of a user's movement through the interface. All project constraints are met.

B: The designed interface provides an effective visual design — legible, clear hierarchy, effective use of space/composition, and consistent elements — that demonstrates a fairly consistent visual language across different display resolutions and forms a fairly clear narrative of a user's movement through the interface. All project constraints are met.

C: The designed interface provides a somewhat problematic visual design — somewhat illegible, unclear hierarchy, somewhat ineffective use of space/composition, and, or inconsistent elements — that demonstrates a somewhat consistent visual language across different display resolutions and forms a narrative of a user's movement through the interface which is unclear at times. Most project constraints are met.

D/F: The designed interface provides a significantly problematic visual design — illegible, unclear hierarchy, ineffective use of space/composition, and inconsistent elements — that creates an inconsistent visual language across different display resolutions and creates a narrative of the user's movement through the interface that is difficult or not possible to follow. Numerous project constraints are not met.
